CostaCaddie sets no cookies of its own. The one thing on this site that can set cookies is GetYourGuide's activity widget on region and trip-plan pages, and only after you accept it.

No cookie of ours is set, no tracking pixels are loaded, no advertising scripts run and no fingerprinting is attempted.
One thing is written to your browser and is worth naming rather than glossing over. The framework this site is built on keeps scroll positions in sessionStorage so the back button returns you to where you were. It is erased when you close the tab, never leaves your device, and is not readable by us.
GetYourGuide's widget, if you accept it
Region and trip-plan pages can show activities from GetYourGuide in GetYourGuide's own widget. Until you accept it, and after you reject it, none of GetYourGuide's scripts, frames or cookies load: the page shows a plain link to GetYourGuide instead.
Once you accept, and the widget comes into view, GetYourGuide's scripts set the cookies below. This is what we observed in a browser on 13 Oct 2026. GetYourGuide may change them, and its own privacy policy governs them.

Their script also stores two values on this site: partner_id in localStorage and gyg_visitor_id in sessionStorage. The widget loads its content from GetYourGuide's servers and its fonts from Google Fonts. Clicking an activity opens GetYourGuide's own site, which sets its own cookies under its own policy.
Your choice
Your choice is kept in this browser's localStorage, not in a cookie, and never leaves your device. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page, or here: Change your choice
Withdrawing removes what GetYourGuide stored on this site and reloads the page. Cookies already set on getyourguide.com belong to GetYourGuide; your browser's settings remove them.
How visits are counted
Audience measurement uses PostHog in cookieless mode, on their EU servers in Frankfurt. It writes no cookie and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are counted using a hash computed on PostHog's servers, which cannot be tied back to you and is not usable for advertising.
In exchange, the numbers are approximate: we cannot recognise a returning reader, and we hold no profiles. Measurement needs no consent, because it stores nothing on your device.
What we can see
Page views, the country and browser your request reports, the page that referred you, clicks on links and, if you accepted it, that GetYourGuide's widget was shown or that you clicked into it. That is enough to answer whether anyone is reading, whether AI assistants are sending anyone here, and which pages send readers on to a booking site.
Your control
Any tracker blocker blocks the measurement script and GetYourGuide's widget, and the site works the same without them: those pages then show a plain link to GetYourGuide.
Clearing site data for costacaddie.com in your browser settings removes your choice and the scroll positions described above; the banner then asks again.
